CHESAPEAKE – Peggy Elizabeth Gonsalves, 61, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013. A native of Portsmouth, she was an administrative assistant at the Naval Base for 28 years. She was the daughter of the late Guy Edward and Helen Kitchens Gerald.

Survivors include a son, Johnathan Gonsalves; two brothers, David J. Gerald and wife, Ann and John Michael Gerald; and three grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Pastor Trina Woolard and Betty Knight. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com
