SMITHFIELD- Brenda Abernathy Roach, died unexpectedly in her home on March 6, 2013. A native of Portsmouth, she was predeceased by her beloved husband and daughter, Martin James Roach, Sr. and Danielle Renée Roach.
Survivors include a son, Martin James “Jay” Roach, Jr.; two sisters; a brother; and a brother-in-law.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Mar. 8, at 2 PM in St. Luke’s Cemetery by the Rev. Canon Win Lewis. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel is in charge.
